Don't sit at home.
First of all: DON’T SLEEP (from half past twelve to half past one and then run your laptop until four in the morning, because it might happen that you can’t sleep until 5:30 and then it’s not worth it anymore to sleep because your appointment is at half past 6.)ONE HOUR THE DAY BEFOR THE TOUR. Freaking simple to memory, hard to execute. Otherwise you have to drink three cups of coffee AND sleep more than 3 hours in the train. It’s incriminating. (MORE INCRIMINATING is when your friend just forgot to show up at the arranged time, so you just randomly sit in his kitchen and you’re thinking „How The F*CK should I survive this day“ while your friend is thinking „Boah, that guy is ready for today!“ After half an hour you’re going to leave the house and then finally start the day.
BUT as you know, I’m a serious person, so I slept over 14 hours or something like that (jk). Also memory that you can’t return the SUPERSAVER TICKET. So don’t buy another DAY-TICKET to save 10 francs and think you can bring the other ticket back. You really can’t and you’re f*cked up with two tickets. SAD STORY BRO.
BUT LET’S BEGIN. We wanted to take a train and go anywhere in Switzerland. Me and my friend decided to take the train to Milano Centrale, because the weather was really good there. We left the train in Brig and that’s the first destination. Well, the view is great. If you leave the train station, you’ll see a really majestic mountain. Well, that’s almost everything, there is also a castle and a random school class which looks at you like „Why are you here man, here’s literally nothing“. I don’t know if anybody lives there, there are some houses and a restaurant, but we didn’t see a lot of people in the city, just tourists and a guy in a Batman costume. So, Brig is just a city to move further on for example to Fiesch or Zermatt etc.
After half an hour there (we bought something to eat and drink) we took the train to Zermatt. The ride was about one and a half hour, but it’s very beautiful. (I slept the whole ride) Don’t forget to take your sunglasses with you in the winter because of the albedo (the reflection of the sun from a white surface). I have to say this place disappointed me a little. A friend of mine says that it’s very beautiful there and well, it is beautiful, but everything was so expensive and although there are no cars, there are some little taxies, which are more annoying than the bigger cars. But my friend really like this city. You see the Matterhorn, the village is really lovely and you can visit really beautiful places (just please consider the prices. For one person round trip you pay 45 francs.) In the winter the place is perfect to ski or snowboard. So we didn’t do anything there except for walking around with no plan and just return back and that’s why it was so disappointing for me.
We took a train back to Brig, but we left the train in Randa. Why there? Because we wanted mother nature. And there was a little river and I really wanted to take some beautiful pics for you. In Randa there’s nothing and it’s not worth it to get out, I really recommend you to visit Träsch than Randa. We wanted to walk next to the river, but there was a avalanche danger we couldn’t go further.
LIFEHACK: You should not be on a beautiful location for twenty minutes, watching a YouTube tutorial how to pair your phone with your camera to control the camera with your phone. Do this at home or at least in the train. But NOT there. It’s not worth it. THANK
One hour later we got back to the train station and we left the train in Visp (We didn’t visit this city, so we move on..) and took a train to Lausanne. We drove another one and a half hour (1:38) and we finally got there. Lausanne is a beautiful city, I think. We didn’t really do sightseeing, but we walked down to the lake Geneva and it’s really beautiful there. At the end of the day you can see birds flying above the lake.
NOTE: Take the metro from Lausanne-gare to the end station down the city. It’s not worth it to walk, it took us more than fifteen minutes and it’s not special in any way. Go if you have a lot of time.
Yeah, that was our day. It wasn’t this kind of travel I first wanted to do, I really imagined it differently. But it was a nice day (although I almost died because I didn’t have enough sleep). Next time, I’m going to plan the next trip a little bit. I wanted to see the nature and today we mostly did sightseeing. And another note: It’s freaking cold in February, so take enough clothes with you or you’re freaking out. But the day ticket is worth it! It’s so nice to take any train and go out anywhere and then take the train again. But I’ll definitely do this again, so see you soon! ^^
NOTE: For days like this, you want me to do VLOGS? I used to make VLOGS and it’s quite a fun for me. Please vote here
Yesterday, my friends and I went to the laser tag. I think you know what it is, (at least from How I met Your Mother) but if you don’t, I’ll describe it to you
You’re in a room with other enemies. You’re in a team or alone (you can chose this before the game starts) and you wear a vest with light-emitting diodes and if an enemy (or friend) hits you with his gun (which shoots laser, but it’s not dangerous at all for your eyes) you lose points. You also have a gun and you can enemies as well. Depending in which Lasercity they have also ‚Bonus Materials‘. In Biel you have mines at which you can shoot at and when you hit them three times you get super powers like spy mode (you have the color of the enemy team) or you fire at automatic and things like that.
You’re in a dark room (but you can see things, it’s not very dangerous, but DON’T run, seriously, a friend broke someone’s nose yesterday because he bumped into him) and there are obstacles. There is also two platforms which are higher than the low-ground. A game is about 12 minutes and you’ll sweat a lot, no kidding.
What I want to say is, that it’s really funny, almost like Paintball, but it doesn’t hurt. You really should do that and there are so many laser-tags around the world, you shouldn’t be scared of it. But you have to be 8 years old (or older of course ;).
My rating is a 9.5/10
If you’re in a group, you should reserve a time (but there’s a chance that you have to wait longer as well, we played 14 minutes later than arranged.) Overall, very nice people there, quite fun and you should play two or three rounds, not more. If you don’t want to play another round, you can get your money back.
How to get there?
From Biel/Bienne train station, you can take the Bus Nr. 9 to Schule Linden and leave it at Brühlplatz. Then walk forward to the roundabout and go left to the bridge, then there’s a sign with LASER CITY.
Place: Mattenstrasse 165, Biel
I think it was about 2 years ago when I was in Scotland for two or three weeks. And I have to say, I really enjoyed it. We rent a car and we drove from Edinburgh up to the Isle of Skye all by the coast. Although I live in Switzerland and the shape of the landscape is almost the same, it was nevertheless amazing and different. There are so many castles and so many lovely places on the road, you’ll really love it.
The cities I remember are Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Oban and Strathpeffer.
Short story: We were in Inverness and the weather was a disaster then, and we also didn’t find a B&B (Bed & Breakfast), so we went to a Indian restaurant and we searched there (it was 8pm) a hotel with a very bad internet connection. It was a real disaster. Nobody found one and no one could enjoy the meal, so I started to search for a cheap hotel and I found one in Strathpeffer, that’s why I can remember this place and the hotel there was absolutely great. I also can recommend you that. Well, when we got there, it was 11:30pm I think and the porter just woke up for us, he already was in his pyjamas. So, if you’re somehow the porter from a hotel in Strathpeffer and you had to wake up at midnight for us, we’re really sorry for that.
Another thing you have to consider is the number of CASTLES there. Don’t be a fool and stop every time when you see a castle, because around the next corner, there could be another one (when you’re traveling through the land with a car). Just look in the internet for the best ones and stop there, when you think it’s really worth it.
Also don’t forget to take off the car alarm-system when someone’s in the car sleeping. Yeah, it happened to me and it wasn’t a fun. I woke up and I moved myself a little bit, because I wanted to listen to the radio and well, the alarm went on and everyone for about 2 miles or more could hear the alarm and I was just like, yeah bro, I’m the smartest person alive. My family came back half an hour, so I just sat in the car, waiting for them, every other person just looked inside and looked at me and I was like: „Please, don’t look inside anymore, I’m stupid, my family is stupid, the car is stupid, why the hell don’t we have cookies in the car?!“. So, don’t be stupid and never leave a person in the car with the alarm-system on. Thank you
THE FOOD there is typical for this country. That means, that the speciality is seafood and fish & chips. You can get fish and chips almost everywhere, when you’re in a restaurant or when you want to take it as a takeaway with you.
I recommend you to spend one to two weeks there and you should really rent a car. It’s really worth it to see the „whole“ country.
A really good advice I have for you is to spent the nights in a B&B and not in a hotel (unless you have a fortune, but then you can spent it to a person who hasn’t as much as you do. Read my last BLOG.). Consider, that you have to book the B&B’s in tourist-times and also in cities where it’s popular. And don’t forget, that some B&B’s is serving from a family, so it’s like a family „company“. And be nice to everyone. Those peoples also were really kind to me and I really appreciate that.
So, don’t just visit the well-known cities. You should also travel off-road and go to the cliffs on the beach. I really loved Isle of Skye.
Another short story: We were driving to the Isle of Skye and suddenly we saw a French man walking and he was a backpacker (I really want to do this once in my life). So we took him with us and he had a gun so we got kicked out of the car, but our car has a self-destruction and so he d….no just kidding. He was as I mentioned really friendly and he was very happy to have a ride. He’s a French and when we got there (It was near a cliff), he built his little tent and it was a really good experience. That shows me, that there are super kind persons and there are people who aren’t just living in a 5-star hotel and just doing sightseeing.
Also take a camera with you! It’s worth it and don’t make the same mistake as I did. You really need the camera, because it’s really beautiful. For me, this trip was absolutely amazing and I give 10/10 points. It’s in my memories forever and I hope you’ll enjoy it too.
Last Saturday, I bought the SONY A6000. After I read almost every reviews and ratings about cameras, I decided to go with this one. And I have to say, it’s kinda nice to have a camera in the hand, because you can do so much more than with a smartphone camera. But I have to learn it, so give me a try, I show you some pictures I’ve already taken and I hope you’ll enjoy them.
By the way, last Sunday we uploaded a new video on Youtube. Please Check Out
I don’t earn money yet, but here’s the deal:
You know, on our earth, there’s so much suffer and famine and stuff like that. So I want to change that. Before I die, this is the thing I want to change. But How?
So first of all, I won’t spend money to any kind of organization, I think. It’s not that I don’t want to spend money, but I think the money won’t get there where it’s needed. I also think that people in Africa need money. If they have it, I think they’ll just rest a few days on them and then life goes on. But that’s not what I want. I want to change their life permanently. I want to build buildings for them with my money and with an organization I trust. I’ll search a way to make better jobs for them, so they have normal jobs as we do and they have a life like ours, somehow. I want to bring every goddamn rich man, who’s just chilling on his money, to share out their money. That would be a great first start to make their life better. Once a teacher told me: „When I was young, we didn’t have much things. And behind our house, there was a little lake and in the winter the water froze. So on my birthday, my neighbor gave me a pair of ice-skate. The thing is, he didn’t have much as well, he was more poor than wealthy and this pair was his only pair. This shows, that the poor ones share more, because they know how it feels, when someone needs something.“. I was in the fourth grade when my teacher told me that and I still remember this, because it’s just so crazy, how people change and how the world changes with the money. I don’t say money is a bad thing, it’s better than trading, but how the money is distributed, that’s the problem. How the people change, it’s so sad, and I really hope if I get rich one time, I won’t be that person who’s proud on his money and just uses it for nonsense.
After I visited Hamburg, we took the train to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. We stayed there for about four days and it was amazing.
There are so many things to see in Kopenhagen, like the Black Diamond, the Royal Theatre, the Port, Papirøen and so on.
WHAT TO DO?
One thing I really don’t recommend you is to visit the Brewery of Carlsberg. It’s very boring, you see nothing there (some old bottles and the history of Carlsberg, but they don’t show you how you to brew beer or you don’t even see some machines working. It was very disappointing, I think they did that just because there are so many tourists so they can gain money, but you can’t do anything there.
Another building, which wasn’t special either is the Black Diamond. So, I really had big expectations about this. I really love books and the Black Diamond is Europe’s biggest library (after those in Russia) and from the outside, this building looks AMAZING. It was (almost) mindblowing and well, it was okey. You can go inside and look at some things, but you can’t go into the actual library (of course, if you study, you don’t wanna get disturbed by tourists). So, it looks well, it’s big and you really should check it out, but you won’t stay there for more than half an hour.
There are also things you should do. First of all, go to Papirøen when you’re hungry, because it’s a storage hall full with small takeaways and restaurants. There are so many different kinds of food and drinks, you’ll love it (except you really hate crowds, because it’s almost full of people there. And it’s very hard to find a place to sit).
You also should visit TIVOLI, it’s a park in the middle of the city and it was fun. It’s a little bit expensive (for me), but there are so many things to do. It isn’t as awesome as Europa Park, but it’s still beautiful. The things you can do isn’t as amazing as Europa Park either, but it isn’t as expensive as Europa Park either.
A very cool thing to do is also a boat tour through the city (there’s a small river).
Another good place is the city itself. When we were there, in front of the town hall, they build a big TV for the football world cup. And also walking around in the city is great, so you can see the typical city itself.
So, if you don’t know where to start and you have a few days there, I recommend you to take a sightseeing bus tour and check the location out. And on the other days, you take the bike and go to these places where you found it’s worth it to check it better out or you visit to other places.
My rating for this city is 7.5/10 stars. The city wasn’t mindblowing or very special for me in any way, so I won’t say I have to get there again, but it’s worth it to see it once. The architecture, the transportation system, the food, people, the city and so many other things are fantastic, but there are some other cities, which I really want to visit.
I think it was my last summer holiday when I visited Hamburg with my family. We travelled by train and well, we drove about 7 hours nonstop. So, the first thing we did was searching for food and we ended up in a Chinese restaurant (don’t ask me why). It was really delicious and its location was behind the big Saturn-Store. I forgot the name, sorry.
Well, in Hamburg, there’s a city guide bus tour for those people who just want to check the sightseeing spots and which is perfect for us, because we were there for only one day.
We visited the the miniature wonderland and even though it’s just miniature houses and trains which drive around, it was quite fun. It’s huge inside and there are so many things to discover and so much to see. If you love watching miniature trains and you love details and artwork (realistic houses and streets, mountains and so on), I really recommend you to visit that.
In Hamburg, there’s also a ship in which you can go inside for free, it’s not really worth it. You just can look at it, so if you like that, it’s fine, but it’s not a must seen.
One thing I really regret is, that i didn’t really visited the docks. As you may know, Hamburg is famous for being a port-city. Well, I don’t know if you really can check the port out, but there are so many big cargo ships, it was really amazing.
Also I didn’t really try the specialities of Hamburg. But I have to say, that it isn’t really special for me, because we almost eat the same things as here in Hamburg like sausages, french fries, potato and things like that, so if you’re from another country than Germany or Switzerland, I recommend you to taste those things.
So, overall we didn’t do a lot of things. Just walking in the city and looking around. It was lovely, but not special. So, my rating for this city is
In my winter holidays, I’ve read Ready Player One. So, maybe you’ve heard of it (I really think you have, otherwise you live under a rock). Soon, Steven Spielberg is releasing a movie based in this book from Ernest Cline. And one thing: I read it in 3 days.
So, what's this story about?
It’s about a boy who lives in the future (in his point of view, it’s now) and people on the earth have some really big troubles like famine, globale warming and things like that. But there’s one place called the OASIS, where you can do whatever you want to do, because it’s in a VR world and everyone can go there, because it’s (almost) free and there are OASIS-stations everywhere. And you almost live in the OASIS and the money you earn there is like Bitcoins, so it’s real money. One day, the creator of this World dies and he sent a message to everyone. He says, that the person who can solve the quiz and finds THE golden egg is the ruler of the OASIS and gets 500 BILLION dollar (I’m not sure anymore, probably it’s just 250 BILLION). There are so many easter eggs in the book from the eighties and other times, but mostly in the eighties. And if you love to play video games, there are so many mechanics which you’ll recognize and it has action, things about friendship and other stuff.
So, if you have time and you love to read or you just want to read this book before you’re watching the movie, but you don’t know if it’s worth it, I can tell you, it’s fantastic. As you know, I love video games. I love to read. I love action and some science-fiction, this is the perfect book for me and it didn’t disappoint me. My rating for this book is
because I really want to know what’s happening after the end of the book, otherwise it's a 10/10. But yeah, the story, the characters and the topic are absolutely awesome!
Two weeks ago I went with my family to the cinema and we decided to watch Jumanji. I heard a lot about this movie and I really wanted to watch this film, so I was really hyped.
The Movie is about four different kids who suddenly are in a video game and they have to succeed it to return (I don’t want to spoiler much, so let’s go to the rating)
With actors like Dwayne „The Rock“ Johnson and Kevin Heart, it has to be great. (Like Central Intelligence. I love this movie). And it didn’t disappointed me. There are a lot of funny comments and if you have ever played a video game, you’ll love this movie. Sometimes the action seems a bit too crazy, but let’s be honest, if you’ve ever played Call of Duty and things like that, it’s absolutely normal. Also the characters in the movie are mostly comprehensibly. (Sometimes a bit to kitschy). The storyline is alright, it’s not something completely new, so if you want a good storytelling, this is not the right choice. But if you want to watch a funny movie and you can forgive some prejudices about people and endbosses, you’ll have a fantastic time!
One of my favorite places is Berne, the capital of Switzerland.
When I first came there, I travelled by train, I noticed that the city hasn’t high building. The highest tower is about 100,6 meters. This fact gives the city this little touch of beauty. So, after we checked-in in our hotel in the old town, we searched something to eat. And there are so many places where you can eat. A place where almost every kind of restaurant has his sit is near the Federal Place in Berne. But my insider tip for you is the Rosengarten (rose garden). You take a bus to Bärengraben, then you go further up and somewhere you’ll see the rose garden. This garden isn’t very special, I mean there are a lot of better rose gardens, but you have a very beautiful view to the city. You’re on a hill and because Berne is so flat, you almost see everything from up there. And there’s also a restaurant. Well, it’s quiet expensive and if you don’t want to spend a lot of money for average food, you can go anywhere else. But you have to come up there for the view.
As I mentioned before, there’s the Bärengraben (bear pit). As you know, you can’t see them in the winter and sometimes you’re unlucky and you don’t see them even in the other seasons, but usually you’ll see them walking around. It’s next to the river called Aare.
Another place where I can recommend is the Münster (minster). You have to buy a ticket in the Münster when it’s open, and then you can climb several stairs up (there’s no elevator). But the view from the top is worth it.
The transportation system is awesome. They arrive at the time (+/- 1-2 minutes). I’ll recommend you a day ticket, so you can drive as much as you want. You also can rent bikes, but I really recommend you to take the bus and trams, because it’s so much easier.
What can you do?
In Bern, there’s a cinema, a bowling center, you can walk along the river, you can do sightseeing (Zytglogge, Käfigturm, Bundeshaus, Market), go to the zoo (Dählhölzli), go swimming (River in the summer, Ka-We-De, Westside…), go shopping, go climbing (It’s a play park, I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s fun).
Best time to visit
I think every season is great except for winter it. Although in the summer, it can go up to 32°, in spring the weather changes a lot (In the morning sunny, rain in the afternoon) and in the autumn there’s sometimes a strong wind.
Berne is a fantastic city and it’s not full of tourists. There are some lovely shops and the atmosphere is great. Berne is well-known as the slowest city of Switzerland (don’t ask me why). I give you my recommendation, but don’t stay for a week. I think 2-4 days is enough, because you can’t do a lot of things in the city. But if you go outside the city, then you really can spend a whole week there.
